Our latest offering is for true dog lovers: a shampoo bar for you and your best buddy. Head to toe for both of you. Amyris, eucalyptus and lemongrass oils lend this bar a fresh clean scent.
Shampoo bars have become popular with travelers, campers and those who want to reduce plastic packaging that has been stuffing up the land fills and waterways. We still have a tiny bit of plastic wrap on our soap, to guarantee you a clean bar, but you could be using our products for a few years before that wrap added up to what’s in one plastic bottle.
For people hair, (particularly if you have hard water) a vinegar and water conditioner can be used after shampooing to make the cuticle of the hair lay down, and allow easier combing. Suggested ratios of ingredients are 1 part vinegar to 16 parts water, (1 tablespoon of vinegar to a cup of water). It’s too dilute to give you a stinky hair problem, though you could use a tiny bit of essential oil in the mix for your olfactory delight. Down the road we hope to offer some solid conditioners to compliment the shampoo bars.
Your dog will be most happy if you spend the time to suds him up and rinse the shampoo off thoroughly. Like any cleaning product, keep it out of his eyes, nose and ear canals. That way your buddy won’t mind too much when the next bath time comes around.
